Today we celebrate World Water Day. A day when we highlight the importance of water and want to raise awareness about water issues. This year, the theme of WWD2023 revolves around accelerating change. Water affects us all. We can make a difference by changing the way we use, consume and manage water. Together, we can accelerate change and make water count.

Pollet Water Group‘s Clack water treatment devices were awarded with the new UBA KTW-BWGL certificate during the ISH fair in Frankfurt (Germany) on 15 March. KTW-BWGL is a binding list of new evaluation criteria issued by the German Environment Agency (UBA) for plastics and other organic materials in contact with drinking water. Pollet Water Group obtained the certificate for Clack water treatment units. The new certificate is of major importance to the PWG companies who sell drinking water treatment devices on the German market. In order to obtain the certificate, PWG worked with the Dutch/German certification agency kiwa. Click here to view the certificate.

TES operates with a team of 18 people and achieves annual sales of about 23 million euros.  Wolfgang Herzel and Michael Link continue to lead the company.

 UVO3 also strengthens its market position in this way. From their role as an independent business unit, the team can fully focus on sales, assembly and maintenance of UV equipment. UVO3 will retain its branding and logo. UVO3's St Ives branch will function as an additional sales office.

Simon Jay will lead the integrated businesses as general manager of Wycombe Water Ltd. Simon succeeds Steven Sweet who is retiring after an impressive 23-year career with Pollet Water Group. Andrew Langford takes up the position as the day-to-day business manager of the UVO3 business unit within Wycombe Water Ltd. Within his remit, Andrew will focus entirely on customers, product development and new markets.

​S+T+ARTS4WATER is a project of S+T+ARTS, an initiative of the European Commission to foster alliances between Science, Technology, and the Arts, in order to cultivate technological innovation centered on human needs and values. Bringing together Art, Technology and Science, the project S+T+ARTS4WATER aims to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our times: water management. 

For a year, Micheline Verhaeghe - R&D Manager at Pollet Water Group - has been working together with the international artist Haseeb Ahmed to develop an innovative vision around water pollution from pharmaceuticals, a local water issue in Belgium. This residency aimed at exploring pharmaceutical pollution ending up in our water supply chain, leaving their marks on our oceans, rivers and lakes and all its living organisms and the need to increase prevention initiatives.

​The works resulted from this collaboration are presented at the 'Faces of Water' exhibition in Bozar (Brussels) running from 21 October to 4 December 2022.

Building an entire drinking Water Treatment Plant processing 43200 m3/day in less than a year?  Esli rose to the challenge! Esli, part of Pollet Water Group, designs, engineers, manufactures and assists with extensive expertise in solutions within the water & wastewater sector. For this project in Bursa (Turkey), they went even further by also taking on the construction of entire plant.

The well water enters the plant through the central piping and is divided to 2 storage tanks (A and B). Each tank has a capacity of 500m³ and a flow of 900 m³/h. After the storage tank, chlorine dosing disinfects the water and helps to oxidate the Mn in the feed water. Finally the filtration units (seven filters in each line) remove the Mn from the water.
