Pollet Water Group partnering in Sweet H2O

We are over halfway of our partnership in the ‘Sweet H2O’ project. Together with the project partners Pollet Water Group is studying the feasibility of the desalination of North Sea Water for decentral water production with a renewable energy source, specifically wind or solar energy. We are now finishing the phase where we look at the energy efficiency of the technology. In a next phase, the combination with renewable energy will be made. Mayor challenge here is to make the technology energy flexible. Sweet H2O stands for Sustainable Water desalination based on smart and Efficient renewable Energy Technology and is a VLAIO funded project facilitated by The Blue Cluster.  Our project partners are UGent, Vito, EnergyVille, De Watergroep, Blue Power Synergy and Xant.
